Schedule Overview

This is a general overview of what will happen each day prior to, and during STAND Week.

One Week Prior

Parents receive a link to a media safety video and information about the upcoming STAND Week. Posters are hung at school announcing the upcoming program.

Friday Prior

Student leaders make an announcement giving a brief overview of the upcoming STAND Week.

Monday

Morning Announcement: Student leaders announce the STAND Message of the day.

 

Lunch: All students are invited to sign the media pledge, answer questions in a short poll, complete a brain teaser, recite the STAND Message, and receive a reward.

 

Afternoon: Teachers provide students with the day’s STAND Challenge form. (They may also choose to have a discussion about the STAND Message of the day.)

Tuesday-Friday

As students arrive at school, they deposit their signed STAND Challenge forms in drop boxes stationed at each entrance. Student leaders randomly draw three signed forms as the day’s winners.

Morning Announcement: Student leaders announce the STAND Message of the day, as well as the randomly selected winners of the STAND Challenge.

Lunch: All students are again invited to sign the media pledge, answer questions in a short poll, complete a brain teaser, recite the STAND Message, and receive a reward.

Afternoon: Teachers provide students with the day’s STAND Challenge form. (They may also choose to have a discussion about the STAND Message of the day.)
